I audition and place students in my studio at any time. Please contact me to arrange an interview. I believe in designing a course of study that is individual to each student. All students develop at different rates and have different strengths and I tailor my approach to their needs. Technique, reading, and gesture are important to me, as are musical flow and meaning. Contact me if you are interested in discussing these areas.
Please consult my Studio Policies which explain payment, scheduling, and the commitment I make to my students and expect them to make to piano lessons. The last recitals went very well and I plan to announce the Fall 2007 recitals soon. I am always available to consult on the purchase of a piano. A good instrument is an important investment in many ways.
Anthony Tobin performed Beethoven's Appassionata during the broken string scene and Sonata Opus 49#1, which is heard in the trailer and the end credits, and some of the incidental music in "The Quiet". Some of the credits were not properly recorded. Tobin coached Camilla Belle, seen at right, for her playing in the film.
