The proper piano is very important for the development of every pianist.

Touch, sound, ease of practice, and enjoyment all depend on the right instrument. Steinway Piano Gallery of Austin offers many fine instruments. I would be happy to help you choose a piano from their selection.

Although brands such as Boston, Bechstein and Boesendorfer make fine pianos, in my experience the Steinway is unsurpassed in overall power, tone, and adaptability to different repertoire. I have had a Steinway model B for over 20 years and owe much of my success to working with the musical possibilities of this instrument. I am happy to discuss the role of pianos in musical development and enjoyment.

I selected a wonderful Steinway Model L which serves not only for practice and lessons but for concerts in Jane Hilfer's elegant home.

Dr. Paul Putman has a very nice Boston piano which he and his twin boys Skip and Alex use for their piano lessons. I felt it was the best piano for their continued development.

Stacy Leon and Mike Powers bought a Steinway Upright, as did Lisa McGuire.
